Following landslides at Anokha Fall, Highway shut, 600 vehicles stranded

Srinagar: Srinagar-Jammu highway has been closed following landslides at Anokha Fall along the strategic highway on Saturday.

According to SSP Highway Rajinder Singh the traffic over the highway has been halted due to landslides however the restoration work is hampered due to bad weather conditions.

“Windstorms are hampering the work to restore the traffic,” he told INS.

According to officials the traffic was moving towards Jammu and almost 600 passenger vehicles are stranded over the road.
