Farooq Shah promises horticulture hub for Lalpora, Tangmarg

Tangmarg: Consistent efforts would be put in place to develop most areas in Tangmarg as Agriculture d horticulture hub, National Conference leader Farooq Ahmad Shah said Tuesday.
Interacting with the locals at Barakat Mohallah and Lalpora, Farooq said that majority of the areas in Gulmarg Constituency were rich in agriculture and horticulture.
A large number of political workers joined National Conference including some prominent workers of DPN and PDP, according to reports.
During the interactions, Shah urged people to vote for NC in parliament and assembly polls and said that the grand old party has development as one of the top agendas for the state. Farooq Shah said that people in Lalpora area were facing problems like electricity, roads etc which according to him, has hampered the overall development and progress of the area. He however, promised that he would ensure better road connectivity, augmentation of electricity infrastructure, and provide other basic requirements to the habitants of the area. The IAS officer turned politician said that owing to vast Agriculture and Horticulture potential, he would stress for establishing cold stores, and would look into the possibility of getting a fruit market in the area. Shah also urged local youth to concentrate on studies and said educational infrastructure would be strengthened in the area on modern lines so that local boys and girls get access to technical and higher education at door step.
Earlier Shah chaired a booth level workers meeting of Kunzer NC block at Kunzer. He was accompanied by other local NC leaders also.
