MHA Forms TMG To Take Action Related To Militancy Funding Cases

Srinagar: Indian Ministry Of Home Affairs on Friday ordered a “Multi Disciplinary Terror Monitoring Group (TMG)” to take coordinated action in all registered cases that relate to militancy, militant financing and militancy related activities.
The ADGP, CID, JK Police will be the Chairman of the TMG and IGP, JK Police, Additional Director IB, J&K, Representatives of CBI, NIA, CBDT and CBIC will be its members besides any other member co-opted by the Chairman, the order said.
As per terms of reference, TMG has been tasked to take coordinated action in all registered cases that relate to militancy, militant financing and militancy related activities and bring them to logical conclusion.
“Identify all key persons including leaders of the organization(s) who are involved in supporting (militancy) in any form and take concerted action against them.”
The TMG has been asked to investigate the networks of various channels being used to fund militant and militancy related activities and take coordinated action to stop flow of such funds.
