Gunfight between militants, forces rages in Hajin, clashes erupt

Bandipora: Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Mir Mohalla Hajin of Bandipora district on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports a joint team of forces including Army and Police had sealed the area and were conducting search operations.

“The contact has been made and two sides are exchanging gunfire,” reports said.

Meanwhile clashes erupted in the area between protesting youth and forces.

Exchange of gunfire and protests were going on when last reports came in.
