Srinagar: Strongly denouncing the “custodial killing” of young school principal Rizwan Asad Pandit from South Kashmir’s Awantipora area in police custody, Hurriyat Conference said that the incident has left “entire Kashmir in a state of deep shock and grief and exhibits how people of Kashmir are denied the right to life.”
A spokesman of the Hurriyat Conference urged international community and all human rights bodies across the globe to take strong note of the killing of Rizwan in police custody and play their role in ending Human rights abuses in Kashmir.
“Conducting CASOs, arrests, policies of intimidation through different agencies, are suppressive measures that cannot undo the need for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute,” the spokesman added.
