“I will contest from Srinagar and there will be a friendly contest between NC and Congress in Anantnag and Baramulla,” he said, “We are also discussing the Ladakh seat.”

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that “Friendly contest means that there will be no cut-throat contest between Congress and National Conference on Anantnag and Baramulla constituency seats”. “If either Congress or NC wins, it’s a win-win situation for both of us.”

“There will be joint candidate from Srinagar and Ladakh while Jammu and Udhampur will be fought by Congress. On South and north seat, both the parties will be fielding their respective candidates,” Nasir Aslam Wani said.

The meeting, he said is going on. “Things have been almost finalized.”
