Weatherman predicts bright sunshine today, light rains for 2 days from tomorrow

Srinagar: People in Kashmir Valley were greeted with bright sunshine in the morning as the weatherman predicted a clear day ahead and light rains or snow for two days from tomorrow.
An official of the local meteorological department also said that Srinagar—the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir—recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.7 Degrees Celsius last night against 4.7 degrees Celsius normal for this time of the season.
The official said that Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, recorded a low of 1.2 degrees Celsius while the mercury in Kokernag town in south Kashmir settled at a low of 1.8 degrees Celsius.
Kupwara town registered a minimum of 1.6 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg, the famous ski-resort, also in north Kashmir, witnessed a low of minus 4.4 degrees Celsius.
The famous health resort of Pahalgam recorded a minimum of minus 2.8 degrees Celsius.
“There will be bright sunshine today and light rain/snow on 19 and 20 March,” the official added.
