He said the one new face in the party has already been announced, Abdul Qayoom Wani from Baramulla parliamentary seat while all others will be party’s senior leaders who have either served as Member of Parliament or Member of Legislative Assembly.

PDP has only announced its candidate for Baramulla constituency soon after the former unionist; Abdul Qayoom Wani joined the party in Jammu.

“PDP is expected a good result in its favour as it has worked hard since the previous PDP-BJP coalition ended in Kashmir,” he said, adding that “we got a sufficient time to reach out5 to the people once again.”

He said the difficult time party faced in the government over the agenda of alliance and performance was put forth before the people and “people understood the difficulties of the party and judge our pro-people role, therefore, at this point of time, we are expecting a good and favourable results in the elections.”
