Baramulla: Two persons were injured during clashes amid cordon and search operation in Palhalan area of Baramulla on Monday evening.
Reports said that as soon as forces laid siege over Tantraypora area of Palahallan, youth took to streets shouting anti India and pro freedom slogans.
They resorted to stone pelting on government forces which was retaliated by forces.
“Forces fired tear gas smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth,” locals said, adding that pellet guns too were used in the forces action.
Block Medical officer Pattan confirmed that two local boys have received pellet gun injuries.
“They are in stable condition,” he said.
