The appeal by the Inspector General of Police, Jammu, M K Sinha comes a day after a grenade blast killed two and injured more than two dozen civilians.

Sinha took to twitter for the appeal and wrote: “Appeal to all market associations in Jammu city. Help Jammu police in keeping your city safe. Install as many CCTV cameras looking out from your shops and establishments as possible. Early action would be very helpful.”

Two persons, one from Uttarakhand and other from Kashmir’s Anantnag district succumbed to their injuries at medical facility.

More than 25 people were injured in the grenade blast.

The accused was arrested within six hours of the incident and was identified as Yasir Bhat from Kulgam district of Kashmir.
