Jammu: Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only road connectivity of Valley with rest of the world, has been opened for one-way traffic, an official said on Tuesday.
The traffic department official said that stranded vehicles have been cleared on Monday. Continuous landslides and shooting stones over the stretch forced authorities to close the strategic highway.
Kashmir valley faced acute scarcity of essentials including vegetables, mutton, poultry and petroleum products last month due to frequent and long blockades of the highway.
