Pulwama: Two unidentified militant have been killed in the gunfight that erupted between militants and Government forces in Mir Mohalla in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday morning.

Officials said that two militant has been killed and the operation is still ongoing in the area.

The bodies of the slain militants have been recovered,  he said.

The gunfight erupted after joint forces sealed the area to conduct search operation after they received credible inputs about militants presence in the area.

Meanwhile clashes erupted in the area between protesters and government forces and police is trying to disperse them.

“Youth took to streets amid raging gunfire in the area and resorted to stone pelting on forces,” locals said.
