Srinagar: If there are no fresh landslides, the stranded traffic shall move towards Srinagar on the strategic highway, the officials said on Sunday.
“Today traffic was partially restored on Highway, affected due to intermittent landslides and shooting stones between Ramban-Banihal stretch,” reads an official statement by the traffic department.
“MeT Department has predicted more rain in J&K which may lead to disruption on highway. If weather/road conditions remained feasible and no fresh landslide occur in the Jammu-Srinagar highway, tomorrow on 04.03.2019 only stranded vehicles shall be allowed towards Srinagar.”
In-charge TCP Nagrota and Udhampur, it said, shall remain in constant touch with TCU Ramban to seek weather and road condition report before allowing the vehicles towards Srinagar and “release the vehicles in groups not in bulk.”
