Landslides, road sinking keeps highway closed amid mounting fuel crisis in Kashmir

Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir Valley with outside world, continues to be closed on Tuesday amid mounting fuel crisis in the Kashmir Valley.
Traffic department said that movement of vehicles remained disrupted on Jammu-Srinagar highway due to Intermittent landslide and shooting stones at Mom passi and road has sunk near Ramban bazar. “Therefore decision regarding the movement of vehicles on Jammu Srinagar NHW shall be taken tomorrow after assessing the weather/road condition,” an official of the traffic department said.
