Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu highway, connecting Kashmir with rest of the world, remained closed on third consecutive day on Friday.
A traffic department official said that the thoroughfare continues to be shut as there were fresh landslides at Marog, Digdol, Panthial, Anokhi Fall, Momi slide Ramsu etc.
“The clearance operation is going on and as and when the road is made traffic worthy, stranded vehicles would be allowed,” the official told INS. “No fresh traffic shall be allowed today,” the official added.
Over 1500 vehicles including passenger ones remained stranded on the thoroughfare.
