Now army Brigadier, SOG man injured in Pulwama gunfight

Srinagar: An army brigadier and a top SOG man were injured in the ongoing gunfight with militants at Pingleena area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

Earlier seven government forces personnel including DIG south Kashmir Amit Kumar and a Lieutenant Colonel were injured in the gunfight.

So far seven people including two militants and four soldiers, one of them a Major, and a civilian Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat (46), were killed.

The injured Brigadier has been identified as Harbeer Singh and he along with the SOG man were immediately removed to army hospital at Badamibagh here.

The soldiers killed so far has been identified as Major Vibhuti Shanker Dhundiyal, Havaldar Shoo Ram, Sepoy Ajay Kumar and sepoy Hari Singh.
