Srinagar: Weatherman has forecast widespread rain and snow on tomorrow and on February 20-21 in Jammu Kashmir.
An official of the local meteorological department said there was possibility of scattered heavy to very heavy rain and snow or thunderstorms in Jammu region on February 20 and 21.
A meteorological department official said Srinagar—the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir – recorded a maximum temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius against 9.9 degrees Celsius normal for this time of the year.
The official said the maximum temperature in Qazigund and Kokernag towns in south Kashmir was 7.6 degrees Celsius and 6.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
Kupwara town in north Kashmir registered day temperature of 7.8 degrees Celsius, he said.
Gulmarg, the famous ski-resort in north Kashmir recorded maximum of 0.6 degrees Celsius while the famous health resort of Pahalgam registered maximum of 6.2 degrees Celsius.
