Four army men, civilian killed in Pinglena Pulwama encounter

Srinagar: Four army men including a Major were killed in an encounter with militants in Pinglena area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday. A civilian, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, in whose house militants had taken shelter, was also killed during the encounter.
A police officer the gunfight broke out early Monday morning after a joint team of army’s 55 RR, SOG and CRPF launched joint a cordon-and-search operation following a “credible inputs” about the presence of two to three militants in the area.
