Srinagar: Ahead of the announcement of elections which will pave way for model code of conduct, the state government on Wednesday ordered transfer of 44 police officers.
According to an order issued by State’s home department, SSP Srinagar Imtiyaz Ismail Parray has been transferred and posted as officer on special duty with Advisor to Governor Vijay Kumar. Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal has been posted as the new Srinagar police chief while Shailendra Kumar Mishra awaiting orders of posting in PHQ has been posted as Commandant IR 7th Battalion (Ambgrota) against an available vacancy.
Rahul Malik, SSP, Security, J&K has been transferred and posted as SSP, Bandipora in place of Sheikh Zulfikar Azad.
Gurinderpal Singh, SP (West) Srinagar has been transferred and posted as SP, Kulgam vice Harmeet Singh Mehta.
Sandeep Gupta, Additional SP, Domana has been transferred and posted as Additional SP, Anantnag vice Farooq Qesor Malik.
