Srinagar: Hundreds of people on Tuesday participated in the funeral of grand Mufti Bashir-ud-Din
Ahmad at Khanqah-e-Moula Srinagar.
Mufti Bashir-ud-Din breathed his last at around 3 a.m. at SKIMS hospital in Srinagar. He was the Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir for over three decades.
Among those who attended the funeral included chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
