Karmullah and Shahabad residents in Tral demand “snow clearance”

TRAL : The residents of Karmullah and Shahabad Payeen residents in Tral area of South Kashmir have expressed resentment over delay in snow clearance on their roads.
The aggrieved residents in Karmulla told INS that, “even after the three days, snow accumulated on roads has not been cleared yet, due to which areas face hardships”
They said that patients and students mostly suffer as “it gives us tough time to take patients towards hospital while as students in village are not able to go for coaching centres”
“We have many times requested authorities to clear snow in Karmulla but nothing is being done,” Nasir Ahmad said.
Similarly, residents of Shahbad village are also up in arms against concerned authorities for failing to clear snow there.
Aadil Bashir, a local told INS that, they are confined in their houses as “snow is accumulated on main Shahabad road, which is yet to be cleared even on third day today”
The residents of both these areas have requested authorities to immediately clear snow on their roads.
Meanwhile, residents of Nahir and Panner Jageer areas have alleged that their roads were not cleared properly, due to which “vehicles are not running comfortably on them”
They requested authorities to look into the matter as early as possible.
Assistant Executive Engineer, R&B, Zahoor Ahmad Shah, told INS that, “machine is being sent to Shahabad and after sometime road will be cleared there”
He further said that, they will also try their best to clear snow in Karmulla side soon.
When asked about allegations of people related to “improper clearnace” in Panner and other areas, Shah said that, “to secure roads, they have not allowed dozers to clear it from in depth as roads could be damaged”
