Anantnag:- A 28 year old youth was killed when snow avalanche hit Mati Jungle in Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmed Awam Son of Abdul Karim Awam resident of Bidihard, Larnoo area of Kokernag in Islamabad (Anantnag).

“He had gone into jungle for collecting timber when an avalnche hit the area,” sources said.

His body was recovered hours later by locals.
