Qazigund: The rescue operation underway at Jawahar tunnel is searching for one more missing cop as seven cops were recovered dead while two were rescued alive in Qazigun of Kulgam district on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younus Malik said that seven bodies have been retrieved from the site.
“Two have been recovered alive while one more person is still missing and operation to trace his going on,” Malik said.
Authorities quickly launched rescue operation and had to initially face tough weather conditions in the area but later intensified the search for the missing cops.
