Pulwama boy injured in accidental grenade blast succumbs to injuries

Srinagar: One of the two 12-year-old boys injured on Friday last when a grenade they were fiddling with went off in Pulwama district of South Kashmir has succumbed to injuries at SKIMS here.
Reports said Junaid Bilal who was admitted in SKIMS here succumbed to his wounds sustained by him when the explosive device he and other boy Sharafat Bashir were fiddling with went off near their native village Rahmoo on Friday, causing injuries to both of them. The duo was shifted to Public Health centre Rahmoo from where they were shifted to district hospital Pulwama and Junaid shifted to SKIMS here.
According to reports, the boys had found the grenade from the scene of an encounter at Baba Mohalla of Drabgam village, nearly five kilometers from spot where the explosive went off. Two militants of Jash-e-Mohammad outfit were killed in the gun battle with government forces on February 1.
