Pulwama: A militant was killed in an encounter with government forces in Chakoora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
Reports said that as the joint forces of 55 RR, SOG Pulwama and CRPF were conducting searches in the area, they came under fire from militants, triggering the firefight. In the exchange of fire, one militant has been killed.
He said that the area is still under cordon to track down the remaining hiding militants.
