They stranded vehicles were allowed to move towards the Kashmir Valley on priority from the Ramban-Bannihal sector.
Inspector General of Police Traffic, Alok Kumar told INS that 3500 vehicles, most of them passenger ones, crossed the Jawahar Tunnel towards Kashmir on Sunday.
“Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, only trucks carrying food supplies and other stuff of day to day importance will be allowed towards Srinagar form Jammu,” he said.
