Anantnag: One person was retrieved alive in injured condition while two persons are still missing under an avalanche at Aru in Pahalgam area of this south Kashmir district on Friday.
According to the reports, during snow clearance on Pahalgam -Aru road , the JCB with three persons on board it came under an avalanche near Gudkhamb point.
An official said that the rescue teams and machinery were swiftly pressed into service to rescue the stuck persons.
“One person has been retrieved alive while efforts are underway to find two missing persons,” the official added.
Deputy commissioner Anantnag has requisitioned helicopter to help in rescue of two missing persons, the official added.
