Kulgam: Three civilians were injuries on Wednesday after militants lobbed a grenade towards Police station Damhal-Hanjipora in this south Kashmir district.

Initial reports suggest that militants tossed the grenade towards the police station at DH Pora in Kulgam, however, the grenade exploded outside it, injuring three civilian pedestrians.

The injured persons were soon shifted to hospital for the treatment and have been identified as Ayaz Ahmad Bhat (injuries on face) of Ashmuji Kulgam, Sabzar Ahmad Hajam (injuries on throat) of Nandimarg and Bilal Ahmad Khatana (injuries on left arm) of Bangiward KB Pora. Meanwhile, police have started searches in the area to nab the attackers.
