Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday launched a social media to highlight the ‘plight’ of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in jails within Kashmir and outside.

While launching the campaign on Twitter, Mirwaiz wrote: “As India celebrates becoming a Republic, its autocratic rule over #Kashmir goes on! Thousands of Kashmiris continue to languish in its various jails under its draconian black laws and new ones are added each day ! A brief glimpse into the life of some of our prisoners of conscience, a reality check.
