Srinagar: While there is possibility of occasional light rain and snow mainly in South Kashmir, Pir Panjal Range and Ramban-Banihal areas in next 12-24 hours, Director Meteorological Department Sonam Lotus on Friday said there was no forecast of any heavy or high impact weather till January 30.
There was overnight light to moderate rain and snow at some places of Jammu and Kashmir including this summer capitals of the state.
“Although main system has moved away, still due to presence of lots of moisture and lower level atmospheric circulation, occasional light rain and snow mainly in South Kashmir, Pir Panjal Range and Ramban-Banihal axis is possible during next 12-24 hours,” Sonam Lotus said, adding, “No forecast of any heavy or high impact weather till January 30.”
Regarding today’s weather, he said, it’s going to be generally cloudy in Jammu and Kashmir with occasional sunshine later in the day. “It’s cloudy at most places of Ladakh,” he added
