Baramulla:  Complete shutdown is being observe in Baramulla region of North Kashmir over killing of three local militants on Jan 23.

Shops and other business establishments are closed while traffic in old town is off the roads.

Locals said that a heavy police deployment is on the streets to thwart any pro freedom processions.

Three militants were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Binner area of the Baramulla district on Wednesday.

The slain trio were affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba militants.

They were identified as Shoaib Akhoon of Khanpora, Mosin Mushtaq of Qazihamam and Nissar Darzi of Jamia Mohalla Old Town.
