Ganderbal: A 55-year-old man riding a scooter, was killed after being hit by a car at Kurhama ,Bypass Ganderbal district on Sunday  ,police said.

SHO Kheerbawani Nazir Ahmad said that a scooty, driven by Ghulam Nabi Tantray (55), was hit by Swift car (JK16- 7191) at Kurhama, Bypass Ganderbal on Sunday afternoon.

He said the victim identified as Ghulam Nabi Tantray son of Abdul Razaq Tantray of Nawabagh Ganderbal,  died on the spot. He said the swift car driver Suhail Mustafa War son of Ghulam Mustafa War of Warpora Ganderbal was arrested. A case under FIR No. 2/2019 US 279,370,304A RPC has been registered and investigation has been taken up, he said.
