Kupwara: Doctors association Kupwara on Saturday condemned the LD Hospital incident in which a women delivered a baby on road due to sheer negligence of doctors.

President doctors association Kupwara Aijaz Ahmad termed the incident as unfortunate and demanded thorough investigation of the matter and sought government attention.

“We at this juncture would request Government to send  at least four Gynacolgists for SDH kupwara,” Ahmad said.

In a statement Doctors Association kupwara termed the LD Hospital incident as very unfortunate and demanded thorough investigation into the incident and strict action against the culprit.

“The woman who was referred from Sub district Hospital Kupwara for advanced Treatment after she was diagnosed with, Multigravida (G6P5), Breach Presentation with severe Anaemia. Following proper protocol she was reffered to Srinagar, but what happened upon reaching Lad Ded Hospital is very unfortunate,” statement said.

They said that they have been demanding for long a separate Maternity Hospital for the border district but to no avail.

“Concrete steps should be taken by the concerned authorities so that Kupwara gets it’s Maternity Hospital and patients from far off places won’t suffer in future,” they demanded.
