3000 students enrolled in winter classes at Ramban

School children attending classes in Srinagar on 17, August 2010. as normal activities resumed after the curfew was lifted from all parts of Kashmir valley.

          RAMBAN:  Winter tutorial programme, popularly known as  winter  classes,  successfully going on in all six education zones of district Ramban including Batote, Gool, Khari, Banihal, Ukhral and Ramban from first week of January 2019.

          According to the Chief Education Officer, the winter tutorial programme for students of Classes 8th to 12th has been launched in coordination with district administration after doing wide publicity through media and local communication system.

      “After the proper screening, more than 3000 students were enrolled in 21 centres which are established to impart winter coaching. These students have been enrolled through a transparent process,” he said.

         He said that winter tutorial programme has been a huge success with a large number of students benefitting from free winter coaching. He said adequate arrangements have also been made for classroom heating at all the centres in view of the harsh weather conditions.

        Giving further details, he informed that about 125 best teachers are deputed to provide quality education to students under an appropriate monitoring mechanism. This shall cater to those students who need special attention and grooming so that they are well prepared for future.

          Students and their parents have appreciated the efforts of Education Department for providing free tutorial facility besides channelizing the potential and time to build their career.

          CEO appealed to the academicians and retired senior faculties of district to voluntarily come forward for providing best education to students in their vacations.
