Baramulla: Residents of  Sangrama area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday held a protest demonstration against PDD department alleging they failed to repair their damaged transformer.

Protesting residents while raising slogans against the Power Development Department(PDD) said that since past month the entire area has been reeling under darkness due to damaged transformer.

The protesting residents blocked Srinagar-Baramulla Highway at Sangrama and demanded restoration of damaged transformer at earliest.

Meanwhile Tehsildar Sopore accompanied with a team of police reached the spot and assured the protestors that matter will be taken to higher authorities.
