Pulwama: Clashes erupted in Bus Stand Tral on Tuesday amid Cordon and Search Operation by Government forces at Arigam village in Tral outskirts.

Locals said that the protesting youth took to streets and pelted stones on government forces.

“They retaliated with using tear gas to disperse the protesters,” locals said.

Government forces earlier launched CASO at Arigam area of Tral and the operation is being jointly conducted by Army’s 42 RR, Central reserve police force (CRPF) and Special operation group (SOG) of police.
Sources claimed that the operation was launched on the basis of input about the presence of militants in Arigam area.
