Qazigund: The people of  Checki-Budwani in Qazigund area held a protested against the acute water shortage in the area, from past one month.
Scores of the residents including men, women and children assembled on Qazigund Railway station Road and raised Slogans against Public Health Engineering Department (PHE) Qazigund.

Executive Engineer PHE Qazigund Ghulam Nabi Bhat he said they had found an excessive rate of iron in water tank so we stopped the water supply.
“I assure to bring the matter into the notice of higher authorities and hopefully the problem will be sorted out as  soon as possible,” he said, adding they department will get more water tanker supply for the area so that they will not face the shortage of water.
