Srinagar: Amid prevailing bone-chilling cold, two militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in Rajpora area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
A police official said that the gunfight broke out after the army’s 44 RR, 182 and 183 battalion CRPF and police launched a search and cordon operation in Hajin Payeen village of the area following “credible inputs” about the presence of militants.
Reportedly that slain militants belong to Jaish-e-Muhammad but their identity was not official established so far. “the operation is going on,” the official added.
