Complete languishing projects within stipulated time frame: Div Com to DDCs

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan today directed the District Development Commissioners (DDCs) of Kashmir division to ensure that languishing projects are completed within the stipulated timeline.

The Divisional Commissioner was reviewing the status of the languishing projects across the Kashmir Division including Leh and Kargil districts.

Khan said that a major initiative has been launched by the Governor’s administration to complete languishing and incomplete infrastructure projects across the State for which Rs 8000 crore has been made available.

He directed the DDCs to constitute inter-disciplinary teams in the districts to monitor languishing and incomplete projects so that they are completed within stipulated time.

All DDCs will hold fortnightly review of progress on the languishing projects and send the details on the prescribed Performa with photographic evidence to the Divisional Commissioners office for further necessary action, he directed further.

The Divisional Commissioner asked the Engineers and other concerned officers to work with zeal and synergy with concerned Deputy Commissioners, so that the bottlenecks, if any, are removed and the projects completed without any further delay.

Additional District Development Commissioners Srinagar, Director Industries, Director ERA, Chief Engineers of PDD and PMGSY, GM SICOP, Joint Director Handicrafts, Superintending Engineers of UEED, MED, Joint Commissioner SMC, Assistant Commissioner with Div Com and other concerned officers were present in the meeting. While as other DDCs of the division participated in the meeting via video conferencing.
