Govt forms fact finding team about exact number of casuals in PDD

Srinagar: The government on Wednesday constituted a Fact Finding Committee to determine the actual
number of PDL/TDL/Casual /DRW engaged in the Power Development Department.
The five member team headed by administrative secretary planning development and monitoring department has been tasked to determine the actual number of PDL/TDL/Casual /DRW engaged in the Power Development Department with or without proper authorization, duration of engagement and status of payment of wages, Division wise.
The team has been also asked to supervise the audit of the data—by the two teams to be constituted by the Finance Department, one each for Kashmir Division and Jammu Division.
The Fact Finding Committee, to be serviced by the Power Development Department, shall complete the assignment and submit its report by March 15.
