Budgam: Youth died and two others were injured in a road accident when a car they were travelling in collided with an electric pole on Pahru-Pampore way near Railway station Pampore on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Firdous Ahmad Rather son of Abdul Hamid Rather, who was driving the car.

The injured have been identified as Adil Ahmad and Irfan Ahmad. The trio belong to Pahru village of Budgam.

Soon after the incident, the people said, the trio was rushed to Pampore hospital where from they were shifted to Srinagar hospitals.

They said, Firdous succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital while the one among the injured is admitted at Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla and another at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science Srinagar.
