Bhaderwah: A councilor with the municipal committee Bhaderwah in Jammu division of the state of J&K died of cardiac arrest on Thursday.
Identfied as Shokat Ganai 60, an independent councillor representing ward No. 06 Havelli Mohalla breathed his last  at Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah.
Shokat was elected as local body representative in the recently held ULB election.
Reports said he complained of severe chest pain at home while taking dinner last night and was shifted to SDH Bhaderwah.
His wife Nighat Chowdhary is presently District president of the PDP women wing.
