DGP sanctions scholarship of Rs.2.30 lakh to 34 wards of cops

Jammu: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh (IPS) sanctioned Rs.2,29,600 in favour of 34 wards of police personnel as scholarship out of Central Police Welfare Fund, a police spokesman said on Wednesday .

The DGP has granted scholarship in favour of 34 meritorious wards of police personnel of class 10th, class 12th and graduation/post graduation during the academic session 2017-18.

Besides, Rs.6000 each was granted to 15 meritorious wards for securing above 90% marks in 10th class and above 80% in 12th class. Rs.4000 each has been granted to 10 meritorious wards for securing 80% and above marks. Rs.18000 has been granted to one ward for securing above 90% in M.Tech., Rs.12000 to four wards for securing above 80% in post graduation, Rs.8500 to two wards for securing above 80% in graduation and Rs.5000 to one ward for securing above 70% in graduation.
