Govt forms panel to redress employees grievances

Srinagar: The government on Tuesday constituted Service Grievance Committee under the chairmanship of K.K. Sharma, Advisor to the Governor, for redressing service related grievances of Government employees.
Besides Sharma, the committee comprises of four members including Umang Narula (IAS) Principal Secretary to governor, Shaleen Kabra(IAS) Principal Secretary I&C Department, Rohit Kansal (IAS), Principal Secretary Planning Development & Monitoring Department and Hilal Ahmad Parray (IAS) Commissioner Secretary GAD.
As per a government order issued here, the committee has been asked to hear grievances on service related matters of Government employees and take appropriate action in each case. “ The Committee shall address grievances of Government employees, as per schedule drawn by itself and shall meet individual petitioner(s) at least once a week to address their issues.”
The Committee shall be serviced by the Planning, Development & Monitoring Department (Public Grievances Cell), the order added.
