Over 20 feared dead as bus falls in gorge in Poonch

Poonch: Over 20 people are feared dead and many other were injured after a bus fell in a gorge in mountainous Poonch district on Saturday.

Official sources said that the bus bearing registration number JK02W-0445 was on its way to Poonch from Loran when it met with the accident near a shrine at Kalarpella area in the district. Initial reports suggest that twenty three people have been killed but police said that details would be shared later. “we cannot at present confirm how many people have been killed. The rescue operation is ongoing and the all injured are being shifted to hospital,”  said a police officer.
