Kulgam, Dec 4: Unknown persons chopped off over two dozen apple trees in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, sending shock waves among orchardists of the district.
Reports said that an orchardist, Abdul Rashid Dar son of Aba Dar of Kelam Kulgam, shell shocked on finding his two dozen apple trees flatly lying on ground. “I don’t know who has done it. I am ruined,” Dar said.
The incident sent shock waves among people who demanded stern punishment to culprits.
“We have registered a formal case and investigation has been started to expose the culprits,” Davinder Singh, SHO Police Station Devsar said.
