Sopore: A Complete shutdown is being observed for second consecutive day in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday to mourn the killing of local LeT militant in a brief gunfight in Chattergam area of District Budgam on Wednesday.

All the shops and other business establishments are closed in the town,while thin movement of private transport is plying on the roads in the town.

Slain local militant Mehraj ud din khan @ Maroof son of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan of new colony Sopore was killed in a brief gunfight at chattergam budgam on Wednesday, later his body was handed over to his family on early Thursday morning after all legal formalities.

Meanwhile authorities on late last night issued a statement that all educational institutions across Sopore town to remain closed on Friday as a precautionary measure
