Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) on Thursday said the “bloodbath and rising graph of human rights violations” in Kashmir is the part of the New Delhi’s policy of aggression and military might being followed by the lakhs of government forces deployed on ground.
In a statement issued here, a spokesman of the amalgam while paying tributes to the two armed youth Adnan Lone and Adil Ahmed Bhat who were killed in an encounter with government forces at Shaar-Shali Khrew, stating that the killing of youth was part of the Delhi’s strategy of planned “genocide” in Kashmir where in government forces are selectively killing the youth.
He said while as youth are being killed on daily basis, people of Kashmir are subjected to “worst form of oppression even as an atmosphere of ultimate fear looms large everywhere in Kashmir.”
The spokesman also strongly condemned the use of brute force on the funeral procession of slain youth Mehraj-ud-Din in Chattergam gunfight, stating that perhaps Kashmir was the only place in the world where funerals of youth too aren’t spared and instead showered with tear gas shells, pellets and live bullets.
“Use of force on the funeral reflects ultimate frustration on part of the authorities and the worst form of state terrorism.”
The spokesman said that ultimate oppression was being unleashed across Kashmir to push the people into submission and to stop them from legitimate right, the right to self determination.
He said Kashmir issue can’t be kept lingering for a long period anymore and that the international community can’t act as a mute spectator over the worst ever war crimes taking place in Kashmir on daily basis.
