Anantnag: Hurriyat leader Hafizullah Mir shot dead by unidentified gunmen

Anantnag: A Hurriyat leader has been killed by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday in Achabal area of Anantnag district.

The deceased has been identified as Hafizullah Mir, and was associated with Tehreek e Hurriyat.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Anantnag Dr Abdul Majid Mehrab confirmed that Mir was brought dead to the hospital.

Reports said that unidentified gunmen opened fire upon Mir leaving him in a pool of blood.

He was rushed to medical facility were doctors declared him brought dead.

Reports suggest that his wife too has sustained injuries in the incident.
