Accident in Ganderbal leaves one youth dead

Srinagar: One youth died in an accident in Ganderbal district’s Khann area on Tuesday.

The youth have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Shah, 27,  son of Ghulam Ahmad Shah resident of Harran area of Ganderbal.

Reports said that Shah was a pillion on a scooty JK16-6123 and his friend Qaisar Ahmad Akhoon son of Bashir Ahmad.

They said the scooty skidded off the road and the riders fell down. The deceased was crushed to death by a moving passenger bus.

The bus escaped from the spot.

Police registered the case, initiated investigation and man hunt to nab the matador driver has been launched.

The dead body of the deceased was handed over to the family after the medico-legal formalities.
